PDF to Word converter

This PDF to Word converter rebuilds your document as a real, editable Word file. Headings stay headings, paragraphs stay paragraphs, and tables are restored as actual Word tables with borders — not as pictures of tables. Text remains selectable and searchable, so you can edit, copy and repurpose every line. The conversion runs entirely inside your browser, so the document is never uploaded anywhere.

PDF to Word questions

Why does my scanned PDF come out empty?
A scan is a picture of a page, so the file contains no selectable text for the converter to read. When we detect this we say so explicitly instead of returning a broken file. Run the PDF through OCR first, or type the document straight into Word.
How accurate is the layout?
For PDFs produced from a Word or Excel original, the result is very close: the same paragraphs, the same reading order, the same tables. For exotic layouts — magazine spreads, multi-column brochures, forms with floating text boxes — a few manual tweaks may be needed.
Are images from the PDF preserved?
Text and structure are the priority. Embedded images are kept where they sit in the text flow, while purely decorative graphics and background artwork may be dropped.
Can I convert several PDFs at once?
Merge them into a single PDF first if you want one continuous document, then convert the result in one go.
